From last post til 13/4/09

Well i really must apologise for not updating the blog sooner, but you know how it goes. I just cbf lol :-) This entry will probably be a long one because quite a bit has happend in the past 4 weeks and I've got some videos that many of you have been waiting for, for a long time! Yes that's right, it's trellness in her finest hour - being an absolute fkn trell! You might want to buy a packet of Tena lady before you watch them (even the boys!) because let me tell you it's some funny shit.

So what's been going on...



JOB HUNTING: Basically my days have been spent looking for jobs - pretty boring i know. The "Credit Crunch" is hitting this place hard so marketing jobs are extremely competitive. I've had a few phone interviews with about 4 agencies who are looking out for suitable jobs for me. A few weeks back i got a call to come for an interview for an online marketing role (or so i thought). Went to the interview and was selling myself quite well, all about my knowledge of marketing (both online and offline) and all of that. The guy was quite impressed and started talking more about the job, how it was face to face and bla bla bla. It clicked to me that this was a bullshit direct marketing company and online marketing was just to suck ppl in. I thought stuff it, i'll just keep practicing my interview skills ;-) about an hour later he rang me back and said i was in the 2nd interview - i thought stuff it, more practice lol. I got there the next day and the "2nd interview" was going with door to door with their top salesman. Gamoto! Walking around some pikey council estate (govt housing/apartments) - trells everywhere. Sucked in!! Anyway we get back and i said to the guy this shit aint for me (selling Foxtel door to door in '03 was quite enough thank you very much!). He was selling me the job like you wouldnt believe and said just have a shot and see - of course if i'm successful in the final interview with the MD that is. He was talking like i already the job but had to throw that one in. Anyway had another meeting with the MD and drilled the interview and out of 45 applications i got the job. Started on Friday and had a bit of fun with the same salesman (was good bloke) but by 5pm i wanted to go home (well home to change so i could go out lol). Finished up and didnt get back to the office until 9.30 then went out for beers. I decided to give it one more shot on Saturday before going to the Arsenal v Man City match. However on saturday I knew i wouldnt be motivated doing this shit. Anyway i ended up going to the match with the MD lol. More on the match later. The other guy rang me up on Sunday night (didn't answer coz i was busy ;-) hehe) but eventually spoke to him. He was making all of these plans for me to meet all the top exec's, salespeople, planning for me to go on a selling trip, the works! Didn't take him long to realise my tremendous business acumen you see :p... So you could image their faces when i went in on Monday and told them i wouldnt be continuing with the "role". The salesman was about to cry! The MD couldn't believe it but i explained i was here for a real marketing role not a door to door sales malakia paying commission only (if you make it out of the neighbourhood alive that is!). I'm going to take them out for a beer was they're both top blokes :-) Plan on the job front now is to get a retail or bar job because there's no point in getting a marketing role as i'll be travelling for 2 months in around 2 and a half months - no point you see, by the time i understand 100% what i'm marketing i'll have to leave. Shit happens... those who know how to climb out of the bucket always survive ;-)

FOOTBALL: Went to the Arsenal v Man City match with the MD - was great to have some company in a match instead of sitting there swearing by myself lol. Was an amazing match, especially as Arsenal won 2 - nil. Saw Robinho playing and let me tell you, that little dude has some fkn skill! This match marked the return of the great Cesc Fabregas after 4 months out with injury and what a fkn player!!! 2 assists on his return. Pure magic! Great day out - except for my phone dying again meaning not many photos or videos! The power here is shit and doesnt charge up my phone properly - even with a new phone battery.

I have also purched tickets for the Champions League QF between Arsenal and Villareal at Emirates Stadium. ohhh yeahhhhhh!! Now that's going to be one hell of an experience!! :-)

TRELLNESS: Well her name says it all! The night before my "online marketing" interview the cigarette smoke from her kennel stunk my room out and affected my asthma. I was ready to kill the bitch because i was still awake at 3am because i was coughing so much. I controlled myself and didnt freak out...... until the next morning ;-). She was complementing my cooking skills when i turned around and told her i wasn't happy with her. Then it started, i went nuts, swearing at her for "F-ing up my health the day of my first job interview" and on and on. She kept trying to defend herself but i kept shutting everything she said down. My mother will attest to the fact that when i dont sleep much i transform into a prick :D. She was saying how she was in the house fixing it up and bla bla bla, to which i said "I dont give a F**k why your here. You've f'ed up my health, do you understand?" (haha love saying that to her!). I calmed down and asked her again, "do you understand why i'm angry? My health has been adversely affected because of your smoking. Smoke outside!". She agreed to smoke outside........
But did she????? NOOOOOO!!!! Came back in the afternoon from the interview and the drunk ass was smoking inside again. Five minutes later i walked back downstairs and smelt air freshener haha. Coz that really helps!

CHICKS: Literally fighting over me in the club ;-) that was funny lol. need i say more?

GOING OUT: ummmm wayyyy too much! i will not shock you with a $ figure but you could just imagine.

SIGHTSEEING: haven't really done much because i've been here before but one day i was bored so went for a little excursion to Trafalgar square and saw some statues and shit. Also saw UK's version of the arch de triumph, can't remember its real name but was cool. Check out the new pics. I also went to church on Palm Sunday (Orthodox one) and saw a massive church - i suppose that's sightseeing :p... Was quite a weird experience actually, they had a choir instead a psalti (old Greek chanting dude). Buzzed me out a bit actually.

TRAVEL: Talking of Easter, i've booked my flights to Greece for Greek Easter :D. I'm leaving London at 6am Friday 17th and get to Greece at 1.30pm (inc time difference). My Dad's cousin is picking me up and we are going to the village for a few days. Really looking forward to a really traditional Greek Easter (as opposed to a traditional Greek Easter in Aus that is lol). Staying there for a week so i'll go visit some more family and travel around a bit.

That's pretty much what's been going on in a nut shell. Today i've been keeping myself very busy as i've been cooking all day. Cooked a stirfry, baked some bread and prepared some chicken schnitzels for when i get back from Greece (not this for this week!!!). Bread is magnificent if i dont say so myself haha. Don't you just love my modesty ;-)

We had a leg of lamb to roast the next day but my housemate and i were drunk so we cooked it up and ate it after going out. I'm wearing a glove because i fkn hate the smell of raw lamb on my hands. Trellness gets involved yet again. By the way if you listen carefully right at the start I really did say it to her :D




After a drunken night out, I challenge trellness to a duel! We fight with a vacuum cleaner thing (me) and a table leg (trellness) :-).... after that i snapped the handle off a kitchen drawer haha
